Let’s consider three phrases, and take note of Edom’s national sin and what it led to.

1A.  First, THEIR PROUD CONDITION

“The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee.”

2A.  THEIR PROUD CONDITION QUITE NATURALLY LED TO A PROUD QUESTION

“Who shall bring me down?”

3A.  BUT THEIR PROUD QUESTION DIDN’T ANTICIPATE THEIR PROPHESIED CATASTROPHE

“I will bring thee down, saith the LORD.”

“Who shall bring me down?”

3A.  BE WARNED, MY FRIEND. YOUR PROPHESIED CATASTROPHE AWAITS YOU
